You can use this to hunt early game easily:

Lure the boar into the sticks (dark brown) then use your boat hitbox to block the rest of the area, you can then swim to the other side and shoot it. Make sure the water is shallow so it cant run across.

You can use this to hunt early game easily:

Some problems with this:
First three water has to be deep, else the animal will walk out.
Second is that the animal can break the boat in case it thinks that he can reach you that way.
