i just got a berry at stage 44, they start at 30. been about one day on forest terrain

fruit trees like chestnut and olive appear to give at 30+

olive has option at 34
apple/chestnut does not at 24

well, if you plow and stomp to dirt, then plant some trees, they will grow very slow but generate some forest tiles as they grow. dirt decays to adjacent tile type, so once you have some initial forest tiles made it will spread and eventually fill the dirt. you can also plant trees on the forest tiles to speed it up more, as they will also generate tiles around them.
