I made a silk tablecloth, and it's absurdly good. It does take 3 silk cloth though, so that is a bit of a barrier. 50% hunger reduction at Q36 is quite something though.

Question then becomes, how fast does it wear out?

10 at q10... close to 20 at q35 depending on vitality (i think it's vit anyway).
