Well, it hits like good over 100 dmg with his yellow color hit, according to your tactic that says not to use jump you would be down really fast.

With armor its just 10 times easier, they deal 0dmg to armor when they hit you with green/blue, you can just spam jump & punch and get 0 dmg

I never use jump to fight bats and I never taking damage.

No one is saying it isn't "easier" with armor (If you're fine with wasting armor when you can just not get hit instead). Bats definitely aren't hitting you for 100+ damage, you have to be trolling.

They do. And what I said is that you don't need to worry about armor becouse they will do 0 dmg to it with their green/blue attacks, they can only do some damage to even low quality leather armor when they use the yellow move, thats why you just use jump instead of having to use jump/quick dodge/sidestep all the time.

Bizarre. I have killed +100 bat so far, and I'm not sure if I can recall them ever even getting some IP on me. Is this very rare? Or some conditions must be met maybe?

I think then probably I just didn't pay attention to the IP and my UA is enough good to not get hit by this one.

In order to fight them properly without any weapon or armor you'll need 20-30 UA and around 20-25 Agility. Get yourself a deck with a quick dodge, sidestep and jump, and at least one punch. Aggro the bat from as far as possible. As it's running to get you get your sidestep and quick dodge up and then get your jump up in that order. Then begin spamming punch. Whenever one of your defenses get nearly destroyed or completely destroyed, get it back up then resume spamming punch until it's dead. Also, remember to be on speed 4 (Sprinting) otherwise they may start running away when they get low health and you won't catch up on any speed lower than 4.

When you manage to kill four dry there hides and keep at least two bat wings. You can make a bat cape out of 4 dried bat hides, 2 bat wings and 2 string. While wearing it bats don't attack you unless you aggro them first.

What link said, and try to fight your first few near cave exits. If the fight starts going badly for you, you can easily escape through the exit.
