Then again,you risk aggroing the aurochs when pulling its hair. Is this really worth the chance at a concussion and possibly worse for new players for a filler curio?

It can be safely obtained by horse riding or boating. Not saying this a good curio, but doesn't seems like the worst for me..

I did say new player, and if you're at a point your riding horses around, whether via tamed or clover fed, I'm sure you can find a better filler than aurochs hair.

Oh... Im personally not )) I have animal taming far before any WWW could be found on my first char... And definately before my first poppy pops-up..
And by "filler" I meant that moment when u have 17/18 attention... There are not so many options in that case for a new player...
And I think the worst curios for really new players is those 72-more h studying strange things (roots, beetroots, etc...). It can seem very attractive due to the huge LP gain, but they will stuck in development on a couple of days...
