Mussels is not the problem, its the variety, cause we dont want to get to the point where we have 1% satiation on fish cause we only eat mussels :D But thx

Yes, that is exactly our experience with onions too. No one uses any onions for a week, so I feed them all to the animals and harvest the next batch. Then someone uses every last onion the next day for cooking.
