Thanks Hasta ... :)

@ Ysh ... I'm still quite happy for it to remain as it is, if you so desperately want to know when your village mate or a friend was last on-line there are plenty of options available to you, you can ask them next time you see them, leave them a written parchment or send then them a pm, if they fail to answer maybe they are avoiding you or maybe they have quit. :)

A. Do not understand how you will think I am desperate.
B. Working around existing is not good argument for not adding.

You have memorized people, and you have kin. There's no reason you can't have a third option or merely stick to keeping a list of memorized people if you don't want people to see when you have been online. Permissions on claims work the same no matter the way a person is on your kin list.

I wouldn't consider this spying, rather a way to see if someone in your village has gone inactive or if they are coming online when nobody else is...

This could be done through the village interface, though.

Just to maybe be clearer, even though I don't feel it is really necessary, I'm not arguing against anyones opinion ... I was just giving my opinion on the issue which just happens to be against it. I do understand that some ppl find this information useful or would like it as a feature. :)

I kin everyone I meet, not just my village mates, so I have pretty big kin lists which will include neighbours, friends, acquaintances, trade partners and occasionally ppl I don't get on with so well or rarely talk with due to time-zones or simply a lack of interest in each other. I fail to see why any of those ppl need to know when I have been on-line or need to monitor my playing times ... in the case of my village mates we usually communicate with each other on a daily basis and will say if we are going to be absent for a period of time for some reason. If I was going to leave my village or stop playing I would simply inform them. The same applies to friends and those I have more to do with.

As for the rest why is it any of their business? And why should my only other option be to remove them from my kin list? It is useful to me to see when others are on-line in certain circumstances such as trade for example.

Also, as Hasta pointed out, the information can be used for more devious tactics should a person be that way inclined. I have two characters mainly in the game, one of which is a hermit because I enjoy the design element of the game and like to do things my own way, not because I don't want to socialise, lol, I travel for my job and am sometimes away for a few days, such a person seeing I haven't been on line for awhile may give them the encouragement to come take a look or worse, start setting up siege equipment. :P

So, again, I prefer the feature to be absent and value some small element of privacy ... I'm not asking for everyone to agree with me, just simply giving my opinion on the subject. :)

Maybe if the devs feel the need to include it again they could put in an opt out button so that those who don't want to be 'spied' upon can use it. :D

This would be nice and shouldnt cause trouble. It isnt spying on others - only your own villagers. I have needed this info quite a few times to see if my villager had quit or its only that whover started playing at another hour in the day that usual.

Wasn't removed per se. More like we forgot it when re-implementing the buddy list.
