Best way to hunt animals?

with Boat, Shoot from boat, move to deep water, if first shot did not kill, move far enough away to deaggro, as soon as agro is lost move back in close and shoot again, rinse repeat, this method will keep most animals from fleeing when they cannot reach you.

Also as for trading , I suggest LadyGoo's Black Emporium. She has dealt with me extremely fairly, has always had reasonable prices. Downside to trading is having to actually travel to them, not always easy or safe.

Any idea what currency people are mostly interested in when they're trading? I'm about a week in at the moment and don't know what should I use to trade.

Bears will re-aggro if they cool down for a small amount of time after running.

What quality stuff should I use so I could make them not to flee/1-hit them?

By the way, can two people shoot from the bow at the same time?

Oh, and completely off topic, I just found a few dead badgers and a dead wildhorse in my territory. Should I worry about someone leaving it there, or is that a sign that the individual is peaceful?

Using a boat, find a nice long bit of shallow water and lure an animal to one end of it, preferable the end that makes it you have the maximum space possible between your end, and the other. Bonus points if it's angled so while the animal is fleeing, it hits some more deep water and has to run the opposite way, resulting in more time to kill it. Get all defenses up and attack until it has no defenses up, then attack until it flees. Since it's in shallow water, you can boat up to it and continually attack it until it dies. I killed my first badger this way. Swords make it much easier.

You can also use this technique to easily earn CDs. I got artful evasion and steal thunder along with some moves i already had just from trying to kill the animal.
