Legacy graphics make my eye hurt.

I think if we get a decent mixture of the two then it could be something.

If you will manage to mix 3d and sprite graphics it will be new word in game development. Good luck. :)

It would be old, because the style you talk about was used in DOOM.

I want everyone to take a moment here and truly, deeply absorb this comment. Some of more flashy personaes of this forum might add this to their signatures. This is what absolves Granger of any petty comments blaming him to be underage, immature or not well enough versed in modern memecrafting.

On the risk of becoming a pariah, you go Granger dude.

Obvious this Doom is common knowledge to be sprite in 3d space. What this has doing with Granger?

The term for it is "billboarding"
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Right, but there are some problems, like vertical camera rotation which is not compatible with DOOM style. Anyway the only point of sprite graphics is simplicity of development and performance issues (blitzkrieg I was a perfect example of beautiful and fast sprite graphics). So if developers are used to 3d graphics we may only wish a smart utilization of our PC resources.
