Only comment on Constitution is that its primary purpose has been to increase the character hit points. Other things (such as slower stamina drain when swimming) were added in later.

Hope he will be very hungry tomorrow xD I've been mining a lot and still haven't found 1 ore, but I got a cave in (can't do anything about it since mine supports are built with metal..) hope tomorrow will be better..

Hunger drains at a fixed rate based on what level it is at. The fullest levels drain out in a couple of hours. It takes about 4-5 days for the best bonus (starving? forget off top of my head) to fully drain away.
