Yep. If I hadn't seen it posted here before, I wouldn't have known, and what does real life have to do with game mechanics? Maybe the devs were unaware of this and everything produced the same amount. (Obviously they did a little research or had some foreknowledge of it.)

Pine blocks produce more than pine boards? I burn pine boards for the q boost, and get like 2l max

i think board produces less quantity than blocks, regardless of tree

And the results are in!
10 boards of pine finished quickly, but only produced a miserable 0.32L of tar.
10 blocks of pine took a couple hours longer, but produced an astonishing 2.49L !!!
