So when people say aurochs have aprox. 250 hp, and I currently do ~190 damage with my bow...
Would it be correct to assume that I can shoot my aurochs with a single arrow and then punch it just a few more times for a taming session?
Or does the damage HAVE to come exclusively from punching it?
EDIT: Just tried it and it seems to work, just in case anyone else was wondering. c:

It just has to be enough damage for it to submit without killing it.
One might think a bow would be a no-no, but I've read that others have done it this way.
