This is... :roll: How is what you use to mine with going to affect ore quality? One might argue using a crappy tool might damage curios dug out, but not something you're going to run through a ton of processing like a blast furnace that turns ore into molten slag.

Unless you want to assign some kind of mystical quality to things, and in that case, who am I to argue with such logic? If anyone has played the pen & paper RPG "Shadowrun," magic requires pure materials, often meaning metals need to be mined by hand and smelted with other pure sources in a world where everything is industrialized.
