What do the 'dens' classify as?

And they aren't visible on the map (yet?) which makes them better for hiding than regular houses.

They can be hard to spot amongst trees and cliffs, too. I've walked past a number of them repeatedly before wandering past with my view at a different angle and thinking "how long has THIS been here?"

Speculation that I have heard:

-If seasons are implemented, bears will hibernate in them (both seasons and this sound bit unlikely to me)

I thought that jorb confirmed that "Winter is coming." Just might take a while to get here. (Think he mentioned in the Twitch stream he did the other day... might be mistaken on that. Sorry if I am.)

But I think they need to quickly focus on end game.

As the title says "What do the 'dens' classify as?"
You can make cupboards in them, thus leading me to think that they classify as houses (at least for that)
Would this also mean that cheese will follow that path or another?

I didn't know the best place to put this

Furthermore, what are the "dens, lairs, burrows, etc" actually called?

We call them the same thing!



They're definitely to help noobs or people at the start of the game. There's lots (not worth searching all of them) and don't show up on the map (making them easier to miss).

Yeah, still going to laugh the first time vicious animals spawn in one and rip whoever ducks in a new asshole, even if it's me.
