Looking for Flax/Hemp

I have found everything but hemp and flax...

I have traveled in every direction of my settlement for many hours at a time. Each time I split off into ways I haven't went before. Between me and my villagemates, we easily have picked over 300 windsown weeds and the only thing we can't seem to get is flax. After passing by multiple villages that's also the only crop I haven't seen yet. I'm not sure if it's intentional to be this hard to find.

All I get around me are onions, beetroot, and wheat. I went on a loooooong walk for WWW, found a bunch, got more beets and onions and a couple pipeweed.

I need to travel further, for sure. I'm near an edge, so i'm likely going to travel in the opposite direction of said edge and collect nothing but WWW on the way one of these days. It really feels like it's harder to find variety compared to last world, but that could just be confirmation bias.
