Use the wiki. It has a list of literally every food

Okay, thanks. I originally was going to use boar but wondered if there was anything else i could use along with it. See, Nomad, this is a real answer.

Learn how FEPs work. You get a variety bonus for each different specific food you eat. Eat a piece of bear for the bigger FEP points, add in a fish (lots of STR in this, by the way, but spread out in variety), a few berries, a few mushrooms, and even a few things with almost no FEPs, or none at all like Spindly Taproots. Even some of the drinks count as FEPs, like Wine. (I think Beer, too... don't recall off top of my head.)

Done right, you can get 6-8 STR off one boar, even if you plug it full of arrows and make it q10.

I already knew about the variety bonus but had no idea it effected it so much. Thanks!

The formula for calculating the decrease is on RoB. http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/FEP#FEP_R ... _Reduction

Oh, and as much of a pain in the ass as it is, don't forget pepper. Just one per attrib point is all you need.

I assume you're referring to his age. Which is better? To learn something and then ask someone else for clarification on what it means, or to be told "You're too young," or "you wouldn't understand?"

Farming

Grow lots of wheat or barley to make flour, grow pumpkins.

Early on meatpies + pumpkin pies should yeild good strength gain, as well as con, agi, and int, which are all useful.

Steak & Tubers made of bear gives +1 and +2 str FEP, and only 4% hunger, also cheap to make. Really good one.
