Can't wait for the glory that this buff will be.

I have no clue for PVP how shit it is but for PVE the quality reducing ruins it even for the archer larpers. For me personally it's the whole arrows and small inventory due to not being able to run a tsack.

Archery has always been useless unless you were exploit hunting (pretty much). Bad buff inc

Imo it can be buffed. But with one nerf:

No archery from boat/knarr. Or at least heavily reduced accuracy.

Also, introducing different damage/soak models for players and animals could allow having archery balanced for hunting and balanced for PVP at the same time.

Will this be a mere fiddling with numbers, or a revisioning of how archery, PVP and hunting works? I mean, the former is obviously easier, but if you want archery to go together with your vision according to your treatsie on PVP where "(t)he H&H game world attempts -- to no small an extent -- to simulate events and processes of the real world in a digitalized form", you'd want proper consideration on how it'd function both in relation to the game "fiction" and to the game mechanics, as in functionality that merges both historic archery usage in dark age conflict (supportive rather than lethal) as well as somewhat balanced in regard to PVP usability in relation to unarmed and armed melee combat.

Hunting with cliffs is not as easy as with boats. So seems ok by me.
