new HnH has a very beautiful graphic, just consider during sunset or dawn, it has very nice light effects, shadows, etc...you need a gaming pc, you cannot pretend to run a game without a dedicated vga.

Lol, don't be ridiculous. Even old hafen looks better, than this shit. Look at this perfect smooth shadow...

You probably need byu two gtx1080 for this.

Go play legacy then. No one is holding you back.

It's not about legacy, it's all about bad code optimization. And please, let me decide, what game should I play.

Yesterday i made a video.
With a 970gtx, 16 gb of ram and a i7 my fps go down to 25 inside village. Outside goes again to 59.

In world 8 was worse. It needs to get better, thats true.
Old haven have his charm, no foubt about it, but new haven is beautiful.

Laptop is okay for running web browser and maybe running some office-related programs, like libreoffice writer.

But nothing else really.

You guys both make me angry with your ignorance. Sure, a $300 laptop won't do shit. But, have you all never heard of gaming laptops before?

i never understood the point of those. Barely portable, almost no battery life, generally terrible build quality, prone to overheating, prone to random parts failure, non-maintainable, non-upgradeable, prone to driver issues, etc.

also costs 2.5x++ a comparable small form factor desktop, which you can replace the gpu in to double its effective service life.

I still don't understand the tablet/PC's that people pay$1-2k on. That's what my company offered me 3 years ago... A Sony Reversible laptop/tablet with shitty specs.

I countered with a Lenovo Y510P (i7-4700MQ), 8 GB Ram, 32GB SSD, 500GB HDD and a GTX 755M (GDDR5) dedicated graphics card with an expansion slot for a second GPU. Came out to less than $1,100k including shipping and have since upgraded to a 512GB SSD to replace the 500GB one. This was 3 years ago, remember. I use it for business and personal use and have never had to replace the battery. When I'm using it for business the laptop battery still lasts 4-5 hours before I need a recharge and that's with Outlook and Chrome open the entire time.

If you need it for the portability it's ok....otherwise a desktop: i7-4770, gtx 760 is at least 3x faster and upgradable.
The problem with the notebook is that MQ for the processor and the vga...cause it's a notebook....and the price of course, but you have the portability.

so, ive noticed that if you have ANY other program open with H&H the other program is dragged down to a crawl. had this idling in the background as i played some overwatch the other day, and even though my frame counter was still reading a constant 60fps, the game was frame skipping so it looked more like 10fps.

i believe this game takes full control of your CPU (its java, so your GPU dosent matter. java dosent actually use your GPU aside from display, all rendering and everything is dont via CPU) and applies frame skipping when the window is not in focus. this is likely also why people running multiple clients at once have issues with their scripts not functioning correctly, as H&H only (seems to) reads the accurate frame statistics if its the active window. honestly i have no idea why anyone would ever apply frame skipping on anything these days. just limit rendering to 1fps when not active, problem solved. as long as its only external rendering (i.e. the last part where its rendered to the monitor) it shouldnt mess up anything based on timing, and will have liikely a much less profound drain on the CPU.
