You should raise your intelligence and charisma so that your LP gains contribute more to the authority. You could also create more characters and add them to the village and have them study as well.

Having a labor alt around helps get things done, anyway, so you don't have to eat mass quantities to raise energy and make it more difficult to raise attributes than necessary. And it's still smart to divide labor up between character so you don't have to raise all the stats on one, though there is overlap at times, especially if you do a lot of hunting and foraging.

Tammer's suggestion is good. I'd also add that it allows more and possibly better curios to be studied simultaneously. Make sure to keep a full study desk, too, with a variety of curios so you get the most LP per day you can.

I would suggest leaving the village claim, but that's up to you. You might reach a point where you do log in for an hour or two every day. If you're playing that much, you might be able to keep the claim up with no problem with a bit more character development.

The idol drains 5000 authority per in-game day while providing an initial 30,000 of village authority and the authority cap of 250,000.
Each banner adds 5000 to the maximum Authority and drains 250 authority per in-game day.

So, I'm guessing your village gets drained of authority like 6000-10.000 per day.

If you have difficulty studying that amount of LP daily then there is something going wrong.

Do you own a study table? Do you prepare things properly?

Easy early game curio: seers bones, feather trinket, mirkwood offering (bit costly XP-wise), feather duster, toy chariot, bark boat, batwings, catgold, odd tuber, seers bowl, straw doll, dragonfly, prism.

On top of this very good curios are swan and duck feathers.

To hunt ducks:

Get a boat, a sling, a bunch of stones, and even 1 marksmanship will be fine.
1. Chase ducks from water so that the direction they flee in becomes land. Chase shortly so they start flying and then back off so they are out of view. They will then stop flying and land where they are.
2. Find ducks on land and aim sling at them.
3. Start spamming stones until you hit the duck, they are LITERALLY sitting ducks and will not move if you do not hit! Easy game!

To hunt swans:

1. Have a minimum of 13 exploration. (Or atleast perception * exploration that equals 130)
2. Find clover.
3. Find wild horse. Feed it clover. Mount horse.
4. Put horse on slowest speed so the energy last the longest, take horse for a walk near shallow waters.
5. Aggro swan and just walk over it with the horse. Quality of swan hardcapped (can never be above) by your survival.
6. ???
7. LP PROFIT FOR EASY EFFORT LET'S GO

Try crafting the simple curios per cupboard or multiple cupboard. Easiest examples ; prism , toy chariot. There is no reason why you would ever not have these (unless if you have better duh) since they are incredibly easy to craft.

You can always oath more characters to let them study the same curio so it becomes very easy.

Hope these tips help you maintain your village.

Retarded question but I can't for the life of me figure out how to mount a horse after I have given it a clover. Do you need to tame it or am I just missing something?
