How do I cure an infected sore?

i'm not sure, but generally when i had a toon with infected sore, having over 8k nutrition seemed to make the infection go more down than up, when i feeled confident it was low enough, i grabbed the soap i had and removed the wound completely. Remember that having even a single wound in infected may make it raise again, is better to make a LOT of soap and use it all in a single run

As a noob... it'll fix itself. Not worth the time of camping for it IMO unless you want to make an alt and hope you don't get ganked or followed trying to retrieve the roots. Other option is to just murder a couple flock of chickens.

As someone that ran around with a 60 point wound in w8 and didn't really worry too much about it, it's not a Big Deal. Eat more CON food. Just getting to 40 con gives you 200 base HHP.

I propose just to make account not able to get infected sore in first 10 days of creation so this shit doesn't have to happen

I'd have no argument with this. It's a matter of convincing devs of this.

Hey mister moderator stop suggesting newer players to run around wounded because your door will be the first they knock on when the first encounter with a player actually kills them because of carelessness regarding wound treatment

In world 8 it didn't matter because you'd die if the aggressor wanted anyway. Here if you run around with 1shp but full hardhp you have most chance of survival...

If you don't have 1000+ EHP (base HP+armor), you're going to get ganked by anything stronger than a bear. So... you can either just play the game with a wound, even if it's serious, or you can sit on your laurels for weeks waiting for it to heal.

Don't the roots only heal x amount of HHP? Or did they change them to auto-heal 1 wound?

Heals HHP equal to its quality, evenly spread over all wounds.

Which actually makes it a terrible way to try to remove an infected sore if you have several wounds. Any help is useful, just try to eliminate as many other easier to heal wounds as possible.

Actually had to combine a root with the stockpile of soap I was working on to kill it in one go lol

Yeah think it's a bad solution since I am outside a lot and so far only found one since they came out.

Also in earlygame there's no OP market to sell you medicine so the issue is with the wound itself.

Especially newer people who are more likely to get wounds get them and then on top they get worse/nearly untreatable unless you waste huge amounts of meat or camp trees with alts, great
