Doubt it as ants learn 6 moves which you can all have 5 times.

Does that mean that you believe that ants will teach you up to 5/5 for all those six moves?

By this statement, is it safe to infer that there is a limit to how many of a particular move you can get from an animal? or possibly that you can't learn more than a certain level from a an animal, for example, Punch 4?

There is a limit to how many times you can learn a specific move from a specific type of animal, yes.

Might be interesting to science it out, but that'd be a lot of brute forcing of what skill goes with what animal how many times.
