Requirements for Green Kelp?

No, they are still everywhere, maybe your per*exp isn't high enough yet. They are on almost all shallows of lakes that I come across.

I need 2 of these for forager yet I can not find them.

Pretty much everything seems to have certain time windows when it spawns.

My impression is that quests to gather certain stuff at times (=more often then not, but that might be coincidence) begin outside the window in the (ingame) day where the particular stuff to get is common (or spawning at all).

I would like to ask the OP's question again. I need 2 of these for forager yet I can not find them. I see clams, grey clay, even shipwrecks. Have they been removed from spawning on the river/lake shallows?

nope, but you may be just shy of the per*exp to find them.
they should be more common than gray clay

iirc, i think anything you have a quest for is "harder" to find as long as you have the quest. if you need to harvest i would ask a friend to look around for you as he/she might have a better chance finding it. once they do just have them take you to it for you to harvest ( if you can even see it) if not go eat some carrot cakes. (carrot, butter, water, wheat/barley)

Still no luck finding Green Kelp. I have 54*45 (2430) so I seriously doubt I do not have enough to see any green kelp. My friends all have lower stats and can not see kelp either.

Am I possibly missing a skill or a secret condition or something?

Nope, just need more. It's ridiculously common at like 80x80. Gildings and glasses should get you there fairly easily.

the way it works is there is a min Per*Exp to find an object, but you'll start seeing more of that object the higher your Per*Exp goes.
switching from 90*70 to 110*130 gear doesn't make me see that many new items, but a ton more of strawberries and high end stuff

I am now 60*63. Still no green kelp but I did find my first strawberry so at least there is that.

Wiki says it is 3500 as min so at 63*60 you can find it, but they'll be very rare
