Can't discover nidbane fetter?

Well, then your character should go throught the moves to obtain all ingredients from scratch - possibly something that you're confident you have had been reset by one of the last updates... or you simply missed something.

Took me a while but i finally found a mandrake root to pick, that did the trick and discovered it but maybe it should be considered a bug that my alt could teach me mandrake roots if it didn't actually count as discovering them?

EDIT: Did, and could not reproduce the described behavior. An alt which does not know mandrake root cannot teach mandrake root, and if you are taught and item without learning anything new from it, you are informed thereof. Mandrake root also only has one teachable type, i.e. its own. I am not sure what the problem was, but user error is plausible.

Maybe its because my alt doesn't know rage? But if its of any use this was the complete series of events leading to this:

1. Main discovered mandrake root, teach to alt (as I do everything incase I die and I need to relearn something difficult to get).
2. About a week later my main died, respawned relearned every skill with the exception of forestry route at the time.
3. Found a theft scent with my main, picked a dream, harvested beeswax, forged wrought iron then used my alt to teach my main mandrake root as I just wasn't finding any to pick.
4. Got the success sound from teaching it to my main, to date my alt can still teach it although my alt doesn't have rage so I don't know if its capable of making a fetter. Couldn't make fetter's on main.
5. Tried teaching mandrake again which resulted in the "old news" message.
6. Picked a mandrake root, fetter was then available to craft.

I've just hopped on to check that my alt can still teach it and it was only when I picked it with my main that I discovered the recipe for fetter. I also didn't get discovery LP when I picked the mandrake root iirc. If its of any use I can pm you the account name with the alt I used.
