expect the worst and hope for the best. death or glory is an interesting combat stance (especially for pve) that i don't see talked about much but usually a blend of ua and mc is best as ua has many strong defensive maneuvers (oak stance is best for defense) and good openings while mc has the high damage stuff

bruce lee quote: “Forget about winning and losing; forget about pride and pain. Let your opponent graze your skin and you smash into his flesh; let him smash into your flesh and you fracture his bones; let him fracture your bones and you take his life! Do not be concerned with escaping safely- lay your life before him!!”

It's as if you're putting effort into being wrong.

Cleave is basically the only damage move except knock his teeth out that is used to deal damage in PvP (if we ignore ravensbite which is not in the group combat meta atm but could be situationally used in 1v1s)
I don't think anyone uses cleave in PvE tbh except very low stat players that can't get the animal to die before it runs without using cleave.

I think it's more having the right cards, and not a matter of stats.

Lol. I use to think mc was trash too, tbh it's not THAT bad. Parry is key and pve will be 100% easier. Mc guys never complain about slimes either lol

I faceroll things up to bear/moose with my Uppercut/Sideswipe/Shield Up deck. Take note that if you're caught in a fight without shield, you're in big trouble. I have relatively meager stats but am currently only raising UA for more meta deck in the future.

Shouldn't be that big of a problem:

Shields stash in belts and can be summoned with a hotkey.
Also with such a limited deck you should be able to find room for another stance (to switch to in case you lack the shield).
