The one of you two who found a boat may want to travel to the one who didn't. Gunna be much safer and faster for the boat traveler than the one on foot taking detours to avoid arguing with wolverines, badgers, boars, walruses and anything else that might be feeling cranky. Both of you will run into dead ends, but the rowboat can be carried across narrow strips of land while the player walking is advised NOT to purchase swimming and try to dog paddle across. Drowning is a thing.

But one more suggestion. That boat you found? It might be pretty badly decayed. Look for repair under the adventure menu and try and repair it. When things decay they turn pink. So if your boat is a nice redwood colour it might unexpectedly vanish on you. Better to put a few chunks of wood into it first.
