They're big spooky things covered in blood, sacrifices maybe? There's somewhat of a precedent for that sort of thing, with the numen stuff. Somebody try right clicking a lifted dead player onto it. :^)

Well, I tried using every emote on it, lol, then I tried sacrificing things to it, like a live animal, a dead squirrel, piece of meat, a bone ... maybe you can sacrifice a hearthling skull to it ... idk.
