In this case, no, he's not.

using exploits in order to get something is always a problem. have you just totally succumbed to this and began producing a Crap ton of alts too?

succumbed? If that's the way you see it, I've been a part of the problem for 30+ years. I'm a hacker by nature. If you can abuse it, I'm going to be there on it. I don't do bots only because I don't play games to be a programmer, I play games for the fantasy.

And this attitude only masks the real problem: a poorly designed system. Address the system, and the abuses wont happen.

hence the reason I said originally he is part of the problem, not the solution. come on man, I shouldn't have to spell it out. but I will. using a lot of alts was never the intention of the Devs for this or any aspect of H&H. Which has been said countless times. so once again instead of just laying down and just thinking everything is just peaches and cream, I will always state the thing the Devs should be combatting(which I hope they are)

come on magic, I hope you haven't changed for the worse

No. Abusing a bad mechanic because there's no other way around it is... the only intelligent play. And being a hacker and not using bots in a game isn't a contradiction. It's simply a personal choice.

joojoo1975 wrote:hence the reason I said originally he is part of the problem, not the solution.

the solution is to change the system. the problem is the bad mechanics. the resulting player behavior is only a symptom. it's like treating a person for chronic pain. don't look down on a person for abusing pain pills because you refuse to acknowledge the cancer that is eating them alive.

I haven't changed much at all. maybe you just didn't fully understand me before?

Are we 100% sure there isn't a better way to raid beehives? Can the devs say something about it?

I probably went a bit overboard with it, but I'm really getting tired of the anti-abuse, anti-bot rhetoric when there are no other practical options to work with a particular mechanic.

If you have a better idea of how to legitimately raid beehives, congrats, but it's never been shared, and I've never screwed with them because the penalties are entirely too harsh. I haven't taken the time in the last few years to dive head first into Haven like I have in the past.

Basically, you don't.

I tried much the same as you, after hearing it takes four or five raids for the bees to stop spawning. I tried twelve times. They didn't stop spawning.

Bombed my agility and said fuck it and called it a day.
Wild beehives are broken.
W3 to W6 - Blockland. Special mentions: New Avalon, Tarn of Hotdog, Red October.
W7 - Elvenia, til we all got lazy.
W8 - Cult of R'lyeh, til the deeps called us back.
W9 - Tartarus, til death/wizards came for the land itself.
W10 - ???, ruined and forgotten.

Managed to raid one mano e beeo. Sometimes they don't spawn a swarm when you raid, just RNG far as I can tell. I only raid them within 10second run of water, and use hiding in water to make the combat vs them easier. That said, I've as a result fucked my character for 24 hours (two cases of 10-12 hours) for fighting and mining completely. Beesting + other bite wound = 10hhp gone and -10 agi -10str. Midges touching you is a very quick death that way.

Bees being respectable in combat for that reason is tolerable if painful I guess. But the swarms are way too common if that's the way we're rolling.

I've seen the same in my experiences. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes its painfully broken
