TBH the best tactics are to aggro, kite then raid again, and go for mostly hives that have no bees patrolling. Even those have a chance of spawning once you raid, but lower. If it gets too much, get to the water or to a den that you wisely scouted for before raiding.

I'll try that and maybe sling some rocks to kill bees whilst I'm in the water. I'm mainly worried about the insane agility debuffs you get

alright, how in the fuck do you raid beehives? i literally do not understand how you're supposed to raid a hive. what am i missing?

as far as I can tell, its 100% luck. i've only raided three hives so far because those three didnt spawn bees, and two of those three didnt yield any resources.

yeah I'm not loving the bee insanity, I just want some god damn bee hives, and am I right in thinking I can't get any larvae out of existing skeps? so I'd have to come back and do this shit for every skep I want?

sometimes when an introduction to the game makes things considerably less fun it should be killed, I'm a farmer, why should I have to have the appropriate fighting stats to fight off endless hoards of bees?
Oh boy, here I go cheesemaking again...

You get 1 larvae per wax harvested.
