It's a valid statement to learn the combat system. You can't really know how things work unless you try them out. that said, I like zebratul's guide, but I think a more in depth guide could be written with some musings on strategy and tactics for both specific animals and pvp.

this is way i go myself - first i read zebra's guide
then start hunting with only aim/sting

when i got other moves, i tried them one by one

yellow, red, green/blue

and only now i got some idea how it works...

btw one way to see combat decks = pvp movies

depends on what you going with. UA- ua moves, MC mc moves. best example i have i went pure mc last world and sword of storms did lots of opening. its complete garbage if you have no mc and only ua tho.

What would commonly be considered "high enough" openings to try to land a heavy damaging sword skill? Obviously, higher is better, but surely people have some general criteria.
