I do know that, when I said I roamed for 2/3h yesterday, I checked all the beaches on the western side, then eastern, then western again. Nothing :) But eh, I'll try the ocean right now, who knows !

I've seen them on lake beaches. They're just way rarer there now, much more common on the grey ocean beaches.

Just did at least an hour of boating along the ocean coast, found one green kelp, that's it... I'm considering abandoning this quest as well...
I've now spent between 3 and 4 hours solely looking for those damn washed thingys and havn't found a single one... And I need to study 2 of them lol.

Well, quick update, Success !! I disconnected on the edge of the world map, and 10 mins ago I came back to try my luck again. Found the 2nd one right now ! On the ocean beaches, the sandy ones. Thanks everyone for the informations, I got to see the Ocean :D

This is anecdotal but I have found 4 of these on ocean beaches none in freshwater.
