I've played with recycling a bit. I had some strawhats with cornbraids and I recycled them onto each other, and one of the times I got an extra gild slot opened up. How exactly does this work? Are the odds of opening a second slot higher when recycling, or is it essentially just another roll of the dice?

What happens if you were to recycle 2 items that both have 2 gild slots? What if you recycle an item with 1 gild slot and an item with 2 gild slots?

It's possible, but to my knowledge it's equally possible to get an item with to completely wipe the items of gilds entirely, or for them to combine different gilds with a new slot, or combine without a new slot. It's a crapshoot, but its better than throwing things away

You get a role on each gild to see if you can relot it, not sure what that chance is however one of the bonuses from the tailor credo is that it improves it.
