i was catching way more fishes with bushcraft pole thats why i was confused about the chance but its logical when i think about it.
i was using spindly taproots for the string but i cant afford any of the other fishing lines right now i have to wait for that. And about that moon phase / time thingy i couldnt find which fish is more common which time on the wiki is there anywhere i can see a list ?

You cannot, because it changes each world (at least from my experience). Your best bet is talking with other players and keeping notes yourself.
