Escaping an island.

build a chair - sit on it - logout

I did this and when I logged back in I was just sitting on the chair.

i mean, this char is a fresh spawn, just go drown, and reroll, and then you wont be on the island anymore. Or just ask for some assistance if it matters that much to you, and see if someone cant taxi you.

Unfortunately this is not a fresh character. I wish it was, because then I could just swim into the ocean and this would be rather simple. I also haven't got the slightest clue of where I am on the map, so I don't think I can be taxied.
