I see, thing is though I'm just playing casually - exploring and taking things at my own pace, so I'm way behind the curve already. And more importantly - I got murdered a week ago at which point I was considering if it was worth starting over again and I decided I'll try, so I really wasn't willing to die yet again so early. From what I can tell, I can repurchase the hat for 15$ at most, and can get other hats from subscribing anyway, so I'm fine with it. Only thing bothering me is the fact that this is bound to happen again, and I'm out of ways to survive the next encounter

. It's also pretty hard to move since I spent 2 weeks building my base and have just started to reap the benefits off of it, and moving now and rebuilding would be another week of work at least, with no guarantee that I'm in a safer environment.
It's my first time playing from the beginning of the world and it's much more dangerous, which is both fun and kind of a deterent, but hey, it's all an experience and an adventure, I'm learning a lot about the dangers of the world and potential ways to avoid them. And if I get murdered again, I can always just wait 3months until the hardcore people stop playing and hop on to get my farming going

But I am curios about the "chance to die" thing you mentioned - is it not always a guarantee that I will die? How exactly does it work, you said stats affect it, but could you share some numbers here? I'm only at 30s as far as attributes go, so I'm curious if I should maybe be focusing more on that aspect so that I can survive future encounters
