About the planting thing.... I wounder if there's something I still need to discover? I made a plow and plowed some, also plowed by hand but I still can't plant the pepper-corn or the hop-cones I got off a WWW.

You need to build a trellis to grow either of those.

Dear god

I was able to hook several friends into the old H&H by having a little house and property set up already and having them spawn next to me.. they got to dive right in by doing chores and exploring and discovering and the like.

But my impression from playing so far is that the newbie area is about 2 hours in diameter and furthermore, has NO stone so you can't build in it. Does this mean that no matter what I do, the first thing my friends will do in game is walk for hours? What is the smartest way to go about things so that someone I invite will get to interesting stuff asap?

EDIT: What does stone even look like? I HAVE walked over greyish terrain that tapped under my feet, but digging in it was not possible.

EDIT 2: Okay I have passed many properties with STONE paving and found a cave made of STONE and have found entire grasslands strewn with jagged GREYISH THINGS that look awfully stone like and I am presently climbing a mountain that is ALL STONE and I have not been able to harvest a single stone anywhere wtf does harvestable stone look like I am HOURS from my starting point!!

This plus the inability to start on your friends will guarantee no new H&H fans will be made by this game
