Claims only begin accumulating authority eight hours after construction. Claims no longer start at negative authority, but instead at zero.

skills affect anything where your character produces something new. silk worms are created by the tables, so they aren't affected by skills. silk filaments are crafted by your character, so there the skills matter.

That's what I thought but I keep hearing that for ore it is the person that originally mined the ore the one that gets the bonus effects so maybe it'd be something like that as well.
