Not a bad setup, but takes up more room than cupboards.

True, but you can do this outside and save limited inside space. Unless you can place cupboards outside now.

I have heard of a couple recipes I haven't discovered and I'm not sure what I'm missing
1) boiled eggs
2) boiled morels (not the exact name, but how it's prepared)
3) poppy fishing lure (guessing I need the fancy fishing pole)

boiled eggs and boiled morels don't have a recipe, you just put them in a boiling cauldron. yes, you need the fancy fishing pole to craft any lures.

Thanks, I didn't realize those boxes were useful, like the fireplace boxes.

You can get it from foxes up, I believe. Make sure you build LP to more than 3 to be able to get the discovery.

Is there any utility to doubling up walls? Sure it makes it a longer process to penetrate but I have seen a few videos lately of people manually bashing palisades already. It seems the dedicated raider is going to get in and palisades are just to discourage the casual criminal at this point. Is the difficulty a double layer defense adds to breaking in enough to make a difference?
