Thought I noticed this last world, but maybe it's new. I didn't play much w8 and w9 to begin with, even less after this was introduced, so I'm not even close to being an authority on it.

My speculation is it's the number of "danger tiles" just like in the actual Minesweeper game.

I'm pretty sure cavedust only dropped in .01kg portions last world.

If we could get a dev to confirm that, then We'll never need to mine with supports again. If it isnt like that, it should be.

I don't know about that, as you could have some very unstable rock in the area and can't mine anything safely, and a support lets you mine everything out in the area.

And if nothing else, I figure it's a "safe assumption" until we learn otherwise.

Here's from the wiki :
0.01 to 0.02kg of dust is created with each tile mined.
Scooby Doo taught us that the real monsters are humans.

huh, weird. never noticed it last world. i wonder if it's random or if it's related to the number of tiles nearby, as was said earlier

Most I've gotten is 0.04 kg at a time, but that's extremely rare. 0.01 kg and 0.02 kg are most common. And yes, I've also been thinking it's probably the 'Minesweeper count', but I tend to ignore it anyways, too much of a hassle to calculate that much, I'll just build a mine support instead.

It's likely exactly 8 hours. It could be 500 minutes, but that doesn't feel like a Seatribe design. If it is the latter, it's the first that can be counted in minutes that takes longer than two hours.

You're getting the wrong link. You need to make sure you get the URL with "http://www.imgur.com/.../img.jpg" not the one with mini-URL link for twitter and others.

They should be easy, but when they flee they become bugged (at least that is what people say)
