Also, are we sure ore doesn't forget who mined it after a while? Had a good few wrought batches that despite being mined by a char with DA yielded at most 8/18 each batch and as low as 5/18. As soon as I switched to more recently mined ore it upped the yield significantly.

He said hunger-mod here, but the table shows satiation mod. I'm not sure why too.

As for the ore, it appears that yours has a difficult case of dementia, you should send it to a doctor.
But seriously, I don't think that's how it works. Pray more to RNG gods. I've had results varying from 2/18 to 10/18 with iron from one node mined the same day.

Is there a quicker way of killing off silkworm cocoons than ctrl-right clicking on every one? I like to hoard them and turn multiple sessions' worth into silk at once.

Ok, tough one:

If I have two segments of wall connected (they touch), one being palisade and the other being brickwall... the palisade soak is set (old) but the brickwall was RECENTLY BUILT (no soak yeat) and then I take down the palisade with a battering ram...

Will it spread/take down the brickwall too?

I'm trying to visualize this, and come up with two possibilities:

BBBBBBB
PPPPPPP

Where they are in front of/behind the other.

The other being

BBBBPPPP

where they are in line with each other.

I don't think it matters, but it might... When one is behind, I can say it doesn't ripple out, then again, I've not known anyone to tear down the old palisade when putting up a brick wall, they just build the brick wall outside of the palisade. I can't answer for the second possibility. Sorry.

Yeah, first case works fine, I had such a scenario and had no trouble.

My case is the second one, though...

BBBBPPPP

If it was only bricks I'd be fine, but it's a damn gate (10 wrought + 5 steel) lol.

I once took down a palisade that had a picket fence right next to it, like:

PPPPPfffffff

and the fence was utterly crushed because it seems they 'connect' regardless of their type, and having lower soak the picket fence was affected by the domino effect, which was crazy and unexpected.

So I'm assuming that the brickwall will be destroyed if I attack the palisade until I wait for its soak to be greater than that of the palisade... which I'd assume... roughly 2 days, right? (22 hours without soak + 25 hours for 1 soak per hour, according to wiki)

Damn :(

that's weird. i seem to remember jorb or loftar saying cascading now only worked on connected walls. i recently destroyed a palisade next to a fence and the fence was untouched as i expected. did the palisade not have a cornerpost or something?

well if that matters then definitely:

the wiki numbers are correct, exhaustively tested.

Yes, I assumed that. I've made the math to make sure that the brickwall will stand by the time I take down the palisade, so I guess we'll never truly find out :P

Can someone tell me about the subscription? It says I have 3 hours of game time left and someone told me it resets every week. I tried searching forums but got zero results for "subscription", as well as many other phrases.

I know that the character creation world wraps, found that out by walking north only to find what seemed like a parallel universe, but the stuff I dropped were there. I'd assume the same thing happens with the real world.

other people have said the world is circular, where you can't walk on if you reach the edge even though the world seems to continue (this is how valhalla is, though square). it suffices to say the world is big enough for not many people to ever notice where it ends/wraps.

It would be pretty awesome if you went to the very edge of world at the east, you continue at the west, like a circle.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy
