The woods came out backwards from what we thought they were going to (except the door) but I still think it looks nice.

Thanks! :D I wish we hadn't gotten the wood backwards though. It would have looked sweet with the light wood against the basalt with the darker wood accents. Ah well, now I know exactly how to do the wood colors next time.

Totally screwed up the log endpieces, I thought they took their colour from plank but it turns out it's block #2 wups. I woulda planewooded that if I'd known xD

I'm building the timber house atm and I decided to use tar sticks for the roof, which I now realise is going to take me forever unless I build more tar kilns which for various reasons I don't want to do ..... going from what I'm seeing here I can still get the tar roof even by adding boughs, so my question is ... if I used 15 tar sticks and then 15 of mixed boughs, say 7 of one, 8 of another, would that still guarantee me a tar roof or is it different for the small houses?
