Well I got wretched gore on my second main from two fucking bats (after my first died to them pre-patch) so it kind of sucks. I think only boars and bears should be able to give this specific wound.

When people pull the realism card to complain about balance, it usually means they have no experience in game design and thus no position to critique it.

Look I don't care if it's realistic or larpy or whatever but my ocd screams when my char is not perfect with no chance of being perfect. All wound should heal even if they take two RL weeks and cover both your arm slots and legs. Give us fucking hope is all I ask.

i think it's a great idea to have some wounds untreatable. a chance for valour. or old soldiers can slow down and take up farming. either way it's awesome.

I'm not stating that this game doesn't have any similarities to real life, what I am merely stating is that there a point at which you cross the line from it being a fun mechanic to being an un-fun mechanic.

Everything in the game bares similarities to real life but it lacks for the most part the intricacy that these processes would require in real life.

Simply put the reason why the game is fun is because of its similarity with real life but also its disassociation with the monotony of it.

So as far as a game is concerned I really think that the "real life" argument is a moot point

Come back in a year when your char with mostly points in combat has several untreatable wounds and can't basically leave town for fear a boar will end it. How about we don't make suggestions that will affect the game for perhaps years with little to no forethought? Or are you one of those weirdos that likes suciding their own characters because they got bored of them.

it's not a suggestion, jorb said he wanted this eventually so that no warrior can be indefinitely undefeated. it's part of the renewable world concept. i hated it at first but after giving it some thought, i'm pretty ok with it. but i don't pvp often so i guess things might be different there.

Sure. I get that.

Get yourself a Hat and post a screeny Nursing .

Maybe If we really enough troops and start a riot wearing nurse hats we'll get some healing for it?

$2 to treat a Wretched Gore will solve so many problems, both of gameplay nature and a financial one.
