Fair enough, your newbie guide are usually more useful than many pages on the wiki (or can be reference for filling up the wiki), so I guess as long as information is compiled, it is a big help. I'll setup a Wounds page soon enough.

Feel free to use any info from the guide btw. I feel the wiki is optimal for factual type stuff, but there's so much that slips into opinion I really feel both styles are needed :)

Ran across this in the screenshots thread: viewtopic.php?f=40&t=39691&start=450#p543298

In legacy it was a very rare curio that came from any destroy action on a stump.

Wonder if I should get a shovel and go on a stump removing frenzy then... 19 deep cuts hurt.

It's not going to be reliable. You're talking maybe 1/100 stumps?

Might be a small incentive to stump trees you cut in the future though :)

The wiki is horribly outdated and wrong.

Thank you for this guide. I have been hearing from random players in-game as well as reading here on the forums in older posts that healing was not in the game mechanics yet.

Any way you might be able to share any knowledge in the OP of how to gain the skills to create the substances for healing?

I'm studying a lot of different things but only got the stinging poultice within my ability to craft.

For leeches, you need to walk in a swamp (the leeches will be where you can see your equipement : Ctrl + E).

And for gauze, you need to build a loom (unlocked by basic mechanism) + feed a clover to a sheep and shave it.

The wiki is still based on w7 data. Use it sparingly for general information for now, and otherwise try to keep an eye on the stickies here in HDI. I've made it my personal mission to try and collect relevant information that does need to be pushed to the wiki.
