How do I get a slingshot?

Can anyone tell me what marksmanship provides then? Is there point maxing it ?

It lets you aim faster if you have a high quality bow.

Bow quality caps your effective MM. Not sure on the specific cap. If it were something like a 1 for 1, then if you had 40 MM and a quality 10 bow, you could only utilize 10 MM and the other 30 may as well not be there.

Well, if we go by previous guidelines, it was 2x (wooden) and 3x (ranger) for the bows, and the arrows would cap it, too. (2x IIRC)

Yes I was, I just one shoted a deer with a q4 bow and 1mm. Damage is based mostly on arrows, a q12 or 13 bone arrow one-shot deers reliably.

I'm still using a q18 bow on my main character, but after I got past 30 mm I've been hit reliably from a distance. Though I did up perception a little bit, so that might've helped a bit.
