fox and badger can be killed quite easily with 25ua on foot in my experience, there's no reason to take damage if you just keep renewing your defences but I suppose that is where agi comes in

Boars arent too hard if you remember to use red defence and not attack into tusk romp, I would say about 50ua, also deer have super high agi but very low hp so using chop with sword makes deer killing a lot easier

Thanks everyone for helping me out.
Now at least I have clearer picture. Played HnH for 1 year and never started to fight with animals (except by bow from boat of course)
Really, thank you guys.
Does defence point comes by making succesful defence moves?
sorry for my English

Have you read the combat section of my guide yet? It explains the basics like that (hopefully fairly well >.>)

Not quite true, animals can still hit you from your side, and very rarely a bear has hit me head on - I think normally while its enraged?. Normally they can't though, so when its running towards you if you to attack if you also queue an attack to head straight for it, it will very rarely be able to hit you (or you it, if its a large animal).

im having a problem with not being able to hit animals head on, the horse will just spaz out. constantly running away just to get to its side is draining pony power really fast Any tips/advise?

Practice I guess. Boars are the easiest since they are slow. Bears are harder because of their speed, so practice on boars first. Boars you can be at 2nd horse speed and do it easily, even while they are fleeing. Bears you need 3rd speed.

I hope horses get fixed though... its a bit silly, the advantage from their speed should be enough without using these bugs :p
