Wow just now getting back to checking the forums, but thanks for all the suggestions guys! At this point, if anyone can knock my gates down i'd give them anything i could. But it won't be metal as that is one of the things i don't have. I'm still a wee bit noobish myself. Haven't even figured out combat. I'll pm my cords to some people, i figure if someone comes and destroys everything i've built and kills me- well eh. just means i get to go re-adventuring from the beginning.

It is done, although the breach turned out to be somewhat larger than expected. Still, you can repair the palisade easily if need be.
