Yeah, but i don't have any friends to help me cheese animals so bears are also off-limits for me.
Total misplay.

Eat a piece of bear for the bigger FEP points, add in a fish (lots of STR in this, by the way, but spread out in variety), a few berries, a few mushrooms, and even a few things with almost no FEPs, or none at all like Spindly Taproots. Even some of the drinks count as FEPs, like Wine. (I think Beer, too... don't recall off top of my head.)

Done right, you can get 6-8 STR off one boar, even if you plug it full of arrows and make it q10.

that's ... terrible advice ... ?
there is so many things wrong with this comment ...
you do this and you already ate for 14-15% hunger. and fucked up your satiation for a month
1) if you need that many filler you either have already 400-500 str or you are at 90% or 50% hunger because you did it wrong in the first place ....
2) roasted meat sux big time , it satiate itself.
3) most shrooms are utter shit when it come to satiation
4) berries have usually awful hunger ...

keep your hunger minimum at 200% , find a food with the best FEP/hunger , if it's not enough to lvl up (if you search hard enough you won't have this problem until 50+ at 200% ) add a 0.5% filler like chives or peapod.
good food + chives + peapod is enough to raise your stat to 100+ without any troubles ...
and make a good table obviously ...

Yeah, it's not meant as a step by step guide. It's meant as a way to get more FEPs out of what you eat, and how to eat fewer items per point. If done right, you're still getting big gains from food no matter your satiations and hunger level. If you're producing a lot of food, being at the 200% level isn't necessary or even advised.
