Like if I got around killing 3-4 boars I come out of it with like 10-20 knicks and knacks and 15-20 scratches. Also I'll sometimes build up like 4 or 5 deep cups of 1-5 damage each. Is there something i'm missing that would prevent me from getting these other than killing the animal faster?

All animals have a bit of armor penetration on their attacks this world it seems. You can avoid nearly all damage by making sure your defense openings never ago above 10%, since attacks get rounded down you can avoid almost everything that way. Like with ants, if your UA is high enough their first round of swings all deals 0 damage and it makes raiding easier. So short of killing them faster, killing them in a very conservative way (horse + constantly backing off to up defenses) with high stats would be the only way to go.

You can garden pot yarrow, that'd be my best solution.

they don't hit that hard so with at least 50 ua and 30 mc you can fight them but they have really high agility that's why they are quite fearsome for those with agility under 100 , but with some good armor you can kill one , not to mention on a horse you can fight it until it runs then finish it off at horse speed 4 :D
