My table is actually worse than that :P Not by much, but even without any gold you can get 30% easily via bonfire. As for the gold/silver items, we sure didn't make them. We bought most of them all off a single guy doing the work (I'm not playing too much right now). What you do is put a CHA alt at that table. 250 CHA is easy to get with grapes and some milk production. Then you light a bonfire with your alt, and eat at another table.

The CHA alt multiplies the hunger benefit. Without any gold/silver we hit 28% hunger mod. But with trading it's easy to buy the gold/silver items good Q, even as a hermit.

u can get extra 1% per each alt sitting near, but its looks kinda stupid when u run 4 more windows to eat
imo normal way is: ask your friends to visit u once per 1-2week with food or just for chatting 1hr by skype or discord or ingame chat

The guy has played for 4 days and you guys have drove off to the discussion on that 250 Charisma on an alt isn't hard to get with grapes and milk production.
what is wrong with you

If you read my original post, this is a description of the advanced level play. 2 months into the game would be about that stage.

As I said, the answer depends. But if we're talking about 2 months into playing as a hardcore hermit or a small village, these are easily achievable.

Cons of salt: it runs out

people who say it's bad for anything are clueless

so there are no negative draw backs for using salt?

Apart from having to get more: no.
But maybe there should be some in case you overdo it.
