How about making it optional? Personally i wouldn't want it to be shown but if anyone wants that he should be able to decide by himself - a checkbox and a disclaimer ...

Why would anyone want to tick that box that before they actually lose their email that the account is connected to?

The problem with these situations is that there's no real way for me to tell if you're honest or if you're just trying to do something mean to the owner of an account whose characters you've met ingame. I mean, how many e-mail addresses do you really have such that you can't remember them all?
