how to protect a drying pclaim?

Thanks for the tips, i didnt think about the cave trick, block the entrance with ur character i assume? , but u must be online to be aware that someone dont push u or lure some wild beast.

Anyway i was able to put a claim yesterday, just placed it in the fucking top of a Cliff and left to sleep, i didnt care about it or expect anything, but i was lucky and no one passed, the fact that i dont leave any character online and close to it migth had helped. I realiced that a lot of ppl aproach u like madmands to see if u have a claim near, lol.

Is very annoying how u dont have any tool to protect ur claim and u just have to resing to watch how someone broke it.

Hey, gratz!

I don't block the entrance purely because I go all out to get the lp, gather the mats, during which time I'm travelling around and looking for a suitable cave ... when I find the one I want I go far enough in to not be visible from the entrance, lay new h/f and the claim ... majority of players on the first day are not going to venture too far into a cave due to fear of bats, lol, so by the second day you are set and ready to store safely.

Bats are not too much of an issue, this world I got owned by a stupid cave rat first day, lol, but you can use crawl speed past bats (most of the time) and once you extend your claim they don't spawn on it so you are good to go.

Having access to such a tool early in the game means it might and will be used for griefing the rest of the game.
